Teachers
Teaching..
One of the most noble professions in the world.
Teachers.
The people responsible for our education and possibly our growth as well considering we see some of them more than we see our parents (well to some of us people anyway yes).
However, nowadays, it seems most people are becoming teachers for the attractive pay, the fact that its a pretty damn stable long term job and that you dont exactly need high qualifications (primary schools).
No more do they care about the wellbeing and welfare of students, and instead treat them as creatures who never do enough to meet their grade quota or something.
Instead of blaming a student for his/her grades or attitude, shouldnt you teachers try and understand and find out why they are doing so badly?
For example, in the recent case about how the teacher wanted the student to buy a space in the straits times stating that he is sorry for his verbal abuse, the treacher failed to realize how difficult it was for the boy as well coming from a poor family and not receiving enough attention from his parents. The teacher struck me as a self centred individual who didnt bother to find out why the student was acting the way he was.
Why am i so pissed off with teachers?
Well, because my sister, instead of getting a reason as to why she was asked to leave a particular activity she loves, she was asked to "go home and find out." What kind of a stupid answer is that to someone that young?!
If you wonder why our society is becoming that fucked up, well, here you got the answer.
